Rather than me trying to keep tabs on multiple threads... please find a link to the article posted in GQ4.
I will, of course, keep an eye on this thread too. Investigation into CM finance, 2018 |

They really should tweak it so that over time the economic situation improves a bit. It seems some non-league teams are able to sneak in and do well because their ground maintenance and such is probably extremely low.

To answer Robbo, I found absolutely no evidence that any clubs were bought over during the save time.
It goes to show how vital wage management control is for LLMers I think.

Well written thread Dave. You've even got some sense out of the GQ4 forum which is an achievement in itself.
Strange to see Atherstone, AFC Wimbledon and Hinkley Town as three of the thriving clubs...maybe something to do with that they have small stadiums? Looking at the teams with the biggest debt (Derby, Leicester, Liverpool, Man City, Huddersfield) I reckon they all have bigger stadia than most other teams in their respective divisions. So maybe the ground maintenance is the major factor over a long period of time.

I think perhaps the clubs in bankruptcy are all over their wage limit, but the AI allows the Player to continue signing players.
Those clubs which are profiting (especially in the lower divisions) are all clubs which started (i.e. after the first season) with small squads, so their finances were relatively much easier to control.

In my continued attempt to get some sensible posts out of the GQ4 forum...
I'm away for the weekend, and leaving the new holiday game processing over the weekend. When I return (on Sunday) the processing should be complete and we'll be at the same point I was when I made the original post.
So I'd like some input as to what detail to include with regard to investigation of CM4 debt.
Conditions of the current test are:
<LI>Patch: Latest available
<LI>Leagues: England Conference Upwards (full detail), France (Div 1), Germany (Div 1), Italy (Serie A), Holland (Premiership), Scotland (Div 2 Up), Wales (WPL).
<LI>Date: Test till 12.1.18.
I will not report on:
<LI>Individual clubs or players
<LI>Finances outside the Premiership
If desired I will attempt to get hold of more web hosting space to upload a compressed save game file when I'm done. Can't promise anything though.
Everyone enjoy your Easter.

I am in season 3 with a few leagues running and my save game is 469mb. I think it will take about a week just to upload the thing. |

True LLMers never become non-LLMers.
