Me ah'naw. A few weeks ago at the Strong Bierfestival I thought that it would be a good idea to show one of the birds from my work what goes on under a Scotsman's kilt. She said she couldn't see anything, it was dark under the table. So I put a lighter up there to "throw some light on the subject" and she said she still couldn't see anything! |

Now how can I sell this to my lass?
"I want to go to Munich for a weekend"
"That'll be nice dear, when are we going"
"No I am going on my own to meet up with other LLaMas"
"What on earth are they, are they like the Freemasons or the Royal and Ancient Order of Buffaloes. That will be fine you could make some good contacts there, get a better job"
"No Dear, they are people who play Championship Manager like me, in the lower leagues . We are going to drink beer and watch a German Lower league game"
"So, you want to go on your own to Munich and drink loads of beer with kids who play computer games. Over my dead body!!!"
"Well, if you insist"

Well, The thought of drinking beer in Munich in September and watching a piddling German lower league football match seems to be irresistable.

I just discovered the 'Mitfahrzentrale', sort of an organised hitchhiking thing. Will cost me €30 or €40 to go to München, all the way from Hamburg.
The g/f can't possibly object to that

I nearly went to Berlin when I was first in Munich with the Mitfahrzentrale, you pay the cost of the petrol, right? You are dependant on someone going to Munich when you want to go though.
Oh and btw Church beer is much cheaper here than in the UK, so you'll save money there!
The best brewery in Munchen sells beer in the pub next door for €2.30 and it is divine. |
