Does anyone know the minimum requirements such as ground capacity, you need for your team to get promoted to the football league. Ive heard that there that any teams that you go in the conference can go up but I think this is not true.

I believe it is about 6000 capacity.

In real life you must have at least 6000 capacity with 2000 covered seats. However, in CM4 I got promoted with Barnet and their ground capacity is 4600 (1000 seats) and I didn't need to build my ground up, I was just promoted anyway.

I thought there was some time delay to the rule. eg You have to have 6000 ground capacity by the time you have been in the league for one or two seasons. This way the teams can use the extra revenue created through promotion on their stadium, rather than having to do it beforehand.

You could be right there actually. In real life I think the football league are due to have a vote in the summer on whether to reduce the minimum to 5000, and I think they are also going to be voting on whether to have the delay too, but maybe the rule is in place now. But in CM01/02 you had to build up the ground straight away.

In CM3 01/02 the upgrade was always to 6000(1000 seated).

Dagenham didn't win the Conference a few seasons ago, but in 1995/96 Stevenage won it and were denied promotion because of the ground being too small.

It happened 3 years in a row. Macclesfield, Kidderminster, & Stevenage were all denied promotion on this rule, yet if it had been applied in league some of the sides there would have also failed. The first two had to win promotion twice to get up to the 3rd division whereas poor Stevenage never won again.

Exeter, Torquay, & Northampton were the three who should have gone down, & if there is any justice Exeter should do just that this saturday, & the other two hopefully will follow next year.
