Hello all, I have recently purchased Football Manager 2008 and I love it, but how do i make my own custom team, so i can give the team a name, give the players a name ect...
After you have installed the game, if you are using Windows, then press Start, go to all programs, Sports Interactive, Football Manager 2008, Data editor. Open it up and its so easy I assume you should be able to do the rest. PS, you need to start a new game with the edited database for the changes you made to take place!
It's a fairly long but pretty simple thing to do in the editor.
There are many steps, so don't expect too many people to come on and give you a recipe when you can find one on your own with a search.
Look for the exact phrase "custom team." Sort by date.
I will say this, though. When you add your custom team to a competition, don't forget to swap another, existing team out of the competition, or your game will fail to recognize your nation when you start a new game.
Just a point, when doing that search, make it search only the Editors Hideaway. You could even try the stickies in that forum. There are some guides in there.
