yep, if you strike gold with your team selection and tactics from the off, you'll be ok... maintaining the form next season will be the challenge.
i too think it's the most tactically unforgiving game of the series so far, especially if you're used to FM07/06/05 etc.
I actually thought 07 was more tactically unforgiving. A wee bit out here and there and you'd get punished. Tactics seem to be a bit more forgiving this time round.

Yes although i have found it easier on the whole, that is one thing i have noticed, getting completely battered in a match that i should have drawn or something like that has happened a few times to me.
honestly that is so pathetic to imply the game is to easy with manchester united! in real life they are the defending champions so the game will convey this. Like people have suggested be a lowere team start in the blue square south see how easy the game is. I would win the mojority of games with rooney tevez and ronaldo - believe me thats not hard the real work is actually "playing" the game!
And also people who say i was 4-1 down and won - etc. this is football u can comeback however far behind.

If you think the game is easy why dont you start with a lower league club and try to get them in the premiership anyone who plays with man utd should get instant sucess.
This is such a common misconception.
Its about managing expectation.
Some clubs have more unreasonable expectations than others. That is what should determine how difficult the task will be.
Well.. if you are so set on playing man utd, chelsea or milan or something. heres a challenge.
Have one of your players get the world player of the year award.
Have one of your strikers get the golden boot
Win it all (league, cups, ecc)
Have one of your defenders win the defender of the year title, same with midfielder and striker (the golden boot and striker of the year usually fits together)
Become the least conceeding side in the league
Become the highest scoring side in the league
Use youngsters in easier matches
win all games
Be undefeated for the entire season.
Win more than 3 manager of the month awards
Win manager of the year award
All these challenges are possible with teams such as Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Milan, Inter, Roma, Barcelona, Real Madrid. And probably also Liverpool (Have not tried it with them)
I am aware that this sounds slightly crazy, but it has been done before and it is possible, just takes a bit extra effort.
Plus it makes it more of a challenge if you have to use youngsters in the majority of your carling cup matches and aim to get your players personal awards as well.
