Default FM08 Need help in the Blue Square South

I just got FM08 and its great! I've started a game in the Blue Square South as Bognor Regis and I'm doing pretty badly, I was wondering if someone could help me out just generally on how to manage a team in this division. Eg what kind of tacticts to use, what players to buy etc...

Thanks in advance

When you are looking for players, look for perhaps just one or two key attributes. For example, if you can find a winger with brilliant pace or a striker who can finish. At that level, it can make all the difference.

Wrong forum for this to be honest mate, but ill give ya some help never the less =]

personally, i would go for loaning a couple of good players form a team a couple of leagues above you. Also, try and get a few free transfers, offer them a trail for a week or two, see you and your coaches think of the player, then if hes good, sign him.

As for tactics, it just depends what your prefered tactic you like, personally the classsic 4-4-2 with the left and right midfielders running to the by-line and crossing in the box and looking for the header from a striker. For me i would look for a striker with a good heading ability, because i seem to think that works best...

So i hope thats any help for you

Ive started lower league as well. Just a quick question. Do the reserves and under 18's get put in a league as well? If not then does that mean I have to sort out games for them or will my assistant manager do this as I have put him in charge of them.

Your reserves and under 18's get put in a league and you can set your assistant manager to manage your reserve and under 18 teams in the manager options.

In the Blue Square North and South, there are no reserve or U-18 leagues. You need to arrange friendlies for them to keep them fit.

i have found that players with a high pace/acceleraton rating seem to be very good in my LLM games.

Yeah, focus on recruiting players with high pace/acceleration and/or jumping- be it through free transfers or loan deals.
