Btw, 7-3 and 3-7 are not from the same match ofc

there are far too many goals currently in fm, with some screenshots showing five or more teams in a division scoring over 100 goals in the lower leagues. a couple of high scoring games in real life do not make this realistic.

I my league only 4 teams had a positive goal difference, with all of them scoring over 80 goals (30 matches league).. The other 11 teams (incl. me) scored less than 60, with most about 40 goals, but NO team in the league scored less goals than matches and NO team conceded less than matches..

Realistic? no :p

Surely the Beta patch has some glitch in it.. I just hope they iron it out in the final patch

well it could be like in previous versions of the game when some thing or other was a hot topic the game reflected this. For example when the club take overs were happening in real life so they made it so that in fm06 there were plenty too.
They toned it down a bit on fm07 since it wasnt so hot anymore.
So maybe this year you get higher scores on average, what's the big deal anyways?
Who doesnt like goals, why are you complaining?

I think people in this thread need to read this article:

Look at the number of goals scored per season with the beta patch, compute the averages and compare it to real life numbers or previous FMs. So it is statistically sound to claim that there are way too many goals.
