i've talked about this before but will come out with it again in more detail.
at the moment, from what i see, when you sell or buy a player it shows that price in the players playing history.
but if you sell a player for 4.5 mill up front, 10mill over the next 12 months and a 20% sell on fee i believe it only shows the 4.5mill.
this is kinda misleading. at the very least it should up date itself after the 12months timescale has ended (or whatever the time scale is with the transfer) to show the new transfer fee.
if not that then it should be included from the start.
i would also like to see the next sale fee be added to the fee though. especailly when i sell sisoko to newcastle for 10mill with a 40% sell on fee then they go and sell him to juve for 25mill.
another extra which would be good is to actually see the full price of the trasnfer when part exchanges are involved. at the moment i think it shows the money and then 'p/x'.
if you hover over the 'p/x' i think it should show how much the exchanged players price was so you can see the true cost.
a slight thing that needs to then be considered if the sell on fee is to be added to the initial sale is this.
if we take the sissoko example, should the sale from newcastle to juve be shown as the 100% sale price? or should that one be shown as 60% of the price considering the other 40% went to liverpool?
i think it should still show 100%.
I agree - if you pay £4.5 million up front, and £10 million in twelve months, it should be displayed as £14.5 million.
But, for the selling on fee part, the transfer should still be listed as the full price, since that is what Juventus paid for the player. That Newcastle didn't receive all of it is irrelevant.
I personally have a couple of issues about transfers, which I haven't seen explained before. Two main issues, really. The first is that I sold a player to another team with a 40% sell on fee. He then left that club for free, and moved to another club, but the 40% is still listed under my potential transfer money. If he is sold, will I still get 40% of the fee? And, what's more, who will pay it to me?
Also, I have a player who I paid for entirely with money after 50 league appearances. My question is - if he leaves my club without making 50 appearances, and then completes 50 since leaving his original club at another club, will I still need to pay the money? These are both issues that I can understand not being explained in the manual (not enough paper in the world to cover every issue experienced by every player), but I would like it explained in more detail in the game.
Sorry my last couple of paragraphs aren't really relevant to your discussion, but they're vaguely related, and I'm curious about them.
I agree with the fist part. But the 20% sell on fee shouldn't be listed. It should just show the total fee paid.

No. It should dissapear because it only applies to the club who bought him from you.

You won't pay anything. I used to know a mate who used to pay for every player like this and sell them after 49 appearences.
I agree with you postie. I would also like to see in the player personal screen, or on the transfer screen when SELLING a player if there is a % sell on fee. I can't tell you how many times i've sold a player, expecting £3,000,000 to hit the bank, only to find out 40% of this is going to the first club.
I know I should already know these things, but when you have a high turn over of players (Like i do, playing in N. Ireland), It's hard to keep track, and every penny is vital to me.
Also, something which I think is apparent for Lower League clubs in this day and age, is when a player gets poached from them (Young players, not entirely sure on the actual age and regulations here), The club that brought the young player through the ranks gets a % of his transfer fee throughout his career.
So If he moves once to Man U for £200,000 and stays there, they only get £200,000.
But if he moves from Barnet to Swansea for £150,000, then Swansea to Palace for £1,500,000 then from Palace to Man Utd for £15,000,000 they would get a small percent of each transfer after the first. For small clubs, this is massive amounts of money that allows the existence of them.

Yea, I used to do that a lot with back-up players, or young players. If i had a signed a player that looked promising, but come 45 games didn't prove himself, he would be out of the door.!
