Who would like to see this included in the next version of FM?
It can be pretty frustrating to lose to a much weaker team, even when you took a lot of care not to be complacent about team selection, tactical instructions, etc.
But what's even more frustrating than just losing, is having no idea why, would you agree? I mean, how do you know what to try next time when you thought you had everything right? At the moment, the only thing the after-match commentary tells you is that the expert expected a draw but your team won, or you lost, or a variation of those three.
So, what I would like to see is some proper feedback, an after-match debriefing similar to Andy Gray and co's, where they set about explaining the strengths and weaknesses in how both teams approached the game.
The AI has to know you've done something wrong, in order to give the win to the other weaker team (well, if you're managing a world class team, anyway). So, there should be some way for this to get translated into the after-match commentary, and that could serve as a tip for the future, and placate your sense of dismay.
How do others (and SI especially) feel about this, and if you do like it, what ideas do you have for possible statements you would like to see included?
e.g. -
"If I was Gaffovski, I'd have gone for a more direct approach today. It was raining, and the rival defenders didn't have much pace. But he didn't, and paid the price in the end."
"One has to feel sorry for Gaffovski today. There was nothing much wrong with his tactics, but the rival's morale was just superb. On another day, it could have gone the other way."
"Did you see how unmotivated Gaffovski's players looked when they came out for the second half? I'm glad I wasn't in the dressing room, I think I'd have fallen asleep."

Good idea, it's been mentioned before that perhaps the assman could give a similar type of feedback (because losing at home to derby when you've had 68% possession and 35 shots is more than a little irritating) but a post match analysis would be excellent regardless of who delivered it.

I also agree with the OP.
The match engine or match report doesn't always show what went wrong.

I agree with the poster, we just need a little more info. That is all, its in the real tight games it would be nice, if the feedback was a little more informative .
The assitant manager, could say in tight draw game scenarios, some handy little identifiers to when you have no clue as to what went wrong, such as.
- What an amazing game, must been game of the season, football won today. I'm sure that is said in the game already.
- Yes it was a tight game, though the team couldn't pass a doughnut to a fat kid, or hit a bottom of the lake even if they were stood on it.
- Real close game as I predicted, the opposition goalkeeper pulled out all the stops today, we should of won but your team was the better side.
Just little improvements of indicators that we have now, just with a little more explanation, to when were clueless as to what 'actually' happened.
