i have just created a team using the data editor on fm2008, i gave them lots of money about 1bn transfer budget of about 100m and wages of about 10m but then i load the game it tells me i have a 25m transfer budget and only 2k in wages why is this and what am i doing wrong

What is your bank balance?

I think the board hold your money in like a 'reserve bank' which you can't see. If you need extra money they will give it to you.

bank balance only comes up as 50m

It's also restricted by club reputation.

could it be that i am giving them to musch money and there is a limit to how much you can give them
