I wonder if anyone can help me. I am having trouble getting facepacks or kits to appear. I did a search and said I need to delete the "Data/Cache" files.

Does anyone know where there are and how I do this. I know this may seem like an obvious thing to a lot of you guys, but I would really appreciate your help.

I have ticked the "show faces/ logos" within the preferences, so I thought I would be okay.

Try in the preferences to turn off skin cache and then change your skin and then change it back again.

You should see faces/logos after that.

I am okay with the skins, its the face packs which don't appear.

Do I do the same for that?

Changing skins after unticking the skin cache causes the game to reload the graphics, just unticking the skin cache doesn't.
So you need to switch skins or restart FM after turning the skin cahce off. (Once the graphics are showing you can switch skins back and turn the skin cache back on).

To locate the data\cache folder:

right click the desktop shortcut for FM2006, goto properties -> shortcut tab -> click Find Target...

In the folder that opens, double click the data folder, then double click the cache folder.

Then delete all the files and folders inside the cache folder (there will be an english folder and inside it .dat files for each skin you have - delete it all)
