What does the curent ability and potential ability actualy mean? Because I have a player with ca 25 and pa 25 and he has better technical, physical and mental skills than a player with CA 60 PA 80.
I always thought CA stands for all the skills together... But how come player with less CA has more overall skills I mean if you count the skills together. ( like pace 10+ accelration4 = 14 ....and so on)
Thank you for that realy interesting explenation. So better than player curent ability is no metter if atributes are a bit lower he is still better than a player with higher atributes and lower CA. huh very interesting
i dont know too much about FM06, but in CM time, here is the situation.
there are 4 abilities,
RA: real ability, range from -127 - +127
FA: final ability, as we can see from the game, range from 1-20
CA: current ability, you know that
PA: potential ability, you know that as well
there are two kind of players ability, first one is something like "AccelerationăAggression..", those ability has equal FA and RA, they are not effected by CA. most them are physical attribute and part of mental attribute. another kind is something like "AnticipationăCrossing" with unequally FA and RA and they are most effected by CA.
so , the first kind of ability is easy to understand, the tricky part is second one. most of them are (in CM0304):
so if FA < 1, then FA = 1,
if FA > 20, then FA = 20
if 1 < FA <20, then FA take the integer from the result.
therefore, if we bring RA and CA to above function, we will yield corresponding FA, thats the number we see in the game.
that is excellent explanation for those player you first look feel awful, general displayed low attributes but only few high attribute, but they perform like a god in the match. for example, when CA = 1, from RA = 97 and RA = 127 all can get FA = 20. so sometime, you player only has 60 CA, but score a lot, thats due to he has a "invisble" high RA.
thats how i understand relationship between FA, RA and CA, in CM time(btw it still works at FM05), but i am not sure about FM06, anyone can help? Dan?
Is the 127 RA used by FM06 Shifan? i think that i seen in a post, can't remebner where, maybe in those about Art Money, that it isn't.
Did u tested it?

Does this mean that RA is independent of CA?
For example, if a player has 127 in all RA while having only 100 CA, he would have 20 in everything...
He would be tons better than those with CA~190?
Also, things like Acceleration/PAce which have same RA = FA, are they affected by CA?
in somehow, yes. have you played CM or FM05, there were some players, looks like sh*t, but they score a loooot. and another good thing of them, most of them are cheap. hehehe...^o^v
