Yup, same problem with atron....
Did extract it, overwrote my db, started a new game,.....and voila ! Keane is still alive and happy at MU.....
Michaelfoster, which of the two db folders should we use and which should we delete ?

If I overwrite the entire db folder nothing happens!
I open the update then I extract the update dp folder into that of the game!
Am i to stupid to do the thing right???

Stepb-by-step of what I did :
Open your update with WinRAR ( here I notice something odd...there are actually 2 db's....just like atron said )
Since I couldn't be sure which is the correct one, I then just extract everything, setting my WinRAR to overwrite everything without asking ( another strange thing......it did overwrite my db..........but twice !!........
After the extraction finished.....my db has another db child folder inside it ( complete with further db files inside it )
Anyway, I started a new game to see......Then as far as I searched nothing changed.....the most notable is Keano, - of course....
Any idea ???

IF you open your db folder there should be a db and an inc folder with a client, 2 harchester, lang, people, server, pl_hist_dt, pl_hist_id and a pl_hist.ind file.
Have you both tried deleting the entire db folder then copy it into the data folder?

Probably I wasn't being clear....
After extraction, my db folder includes everything you mentioned, plus
another db folder inside it ( with same files but different sizes ) inside....
If I were to try to delete it, and then extract again; I would get the same thing....
