I have created a new player in the database editor because I wanted Australia to have a genuine superstar. He is an AMRLC, FC, with completely maxed out stats within their relative ranges (abilities of 200, stats at 100 & 127 where applicable). His condition is always 100 as using ArtMoney I have frozen his fitness, match exercise & jadedness attributes to decent levels. He also has numerous (15 odd) ppm's. I added him to the Man Utd squad and he performs no better than Van Nistelrooy or Rooney, who are good but they aren't superhuman, since I've applied the latest patch (6.0.2). I started a new game and yet again he is on par with Rooney and Van Nistelrooy.

Does anybody else have experience with superhuman players and what attributes they should be given to have them actually perform as a superstar? Or is it just since 6.0.2 that superstars have produced lesser performances?

I think you may need to change his nationality so that he's European or from South America as the game compensates for having Australian superstars by lowering their abilities. Aussie superstars... What an outrageous concept! .

Crappy Oz jokes aside, he's got all stats of 20 in the game, yes? If he only performs as good as Rooney or Ruud that's because their stats are also high. He wouldn't perform better than them unless he was defending (which I assume you boosted his stats as well) because they won't have the good defending skills he has.

Also, if you've only maxed out one player in the team, you'd have to compesate for the fact that he is just one player out of eleven men. Maybe the midfield isn't up to scratch and he isn't getting the service he needed to perform as superstar level.

As an example of this, DC United are not the best team in the world because they have Freddy Adu in. Equally, the best player in the world in a squad of already-great players won't make a huge impact either.

I think you're just expecting too much of this guy.

Yeah, all his stats are 20's. He scores at about 1.5 goals a game, while Van Nistelrooy and Rooney are just over 1. His average rating is roughly 8.2, which is good, but not as high as Cristiano Ronaldo and Giggs. I think wingers are favoured in the game ratings (though not as bad as they were favoured in previous FM's).

He is a star player, but i guess I am expecting too much of him. It is a bit far-fetched to create an Aussie Ronaldinho or Rooney. If only we had one to take to Germany this year...

wingers are only favoured if your tactics suit winger play my formation doesnt have wingers because my strikers cant head the ball...

if u have him in fm2005, with all stats 20,or 127, i tell u he will score 50+ goals per game!!!
but not in 2006

Yeah, I remember in FM05 that attributes had a bit more 'extreme weighting', where 127 for long shots, finishing and heading alone was enough to guarantee a hat trick a game.

FM06 freshly installed of the CD (version 6.00) the superstar was in a league of his own, av. rating of about 9, worst performance was an 8. Just since this 6.0.2 patch his started having poor games getting a game rating of 6. I'm keen to hear if anybody has found a way to make a player get 8+ for game ratings.

well i dont exactly the same,but in the lower leagues of the english game. The player is in a league of his own to be honest and noone is touching him. Mind you we will see how he performs if he gets to a premiership club.

I think that players with all good stats will always play average, mainly because players tend to play more to their strengths.

So therefore, if a players has all stats about the same, they don't have any strengths.

Just tone down the non relevant stats and see if that helps at all.

i also tried to make a superstar before using the pre-game editor,making all value to 20, but all its values is only 15 when i created a game.
