I;ve tried various ways to combat this but I can't get any joy.

What I'm trying to do is swap out certain teams in the MLS (USA). That's easy, however the real problem has been that when I start the game up, no matter what I do, the game sorts the teams alphabetically.

This is a problem, as MLS has conferences (like two small leagues within a league) and half go in one and half in the other, but I can't control which one. It simply takes the first 6 team alphbetically, and then the next 6 go in the other conference.

Any clues?>

I hope this is clear, wht I mean.

I want to specify what team goes into which conference.

Does anyone know the criteria used, so that I can try and work around it?

Any help would be appreciated.

I should say, this is only a problem, when I take out all the original 12 teams and replace them with new ones/transferred ones.

I believe the "regions" are hard coded into the game, so if you take a team out the game won't be able to sort it out and will most likely just sort the teams in alpha order.

The only way around it would be quite illegal and has a 90% chance of damaging the game, so I wouldn't suggest it.

I actually found a workaround. The game appears to put the teams with the lowest 6 database ID numbers in the East while putting the highest database 6 ID numbered teams in the West rather than using an alpha order.
