It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Did you build your tactic trying to emulate the Gunners real life style?
Kind of yeah, but I wanted to incorporate crosses to make it a bit more effective (plus I have Vela up front now who is quite good in the air)!

Using shortest passing and slowest tempo certainly produces the most aesthetically pleasing football I've managed to play so far in FM2007 anyway.

Same here... but I have crosses on rarely for everyone except the lb and rb, and long shots on rarely for everyone.

Usually 13-15 yeah (attacking). Defensive players I set to 5 or 6.

Is there anything that can be done to the tactics so that players run and move off the ball alot? Because that's part of Arsenal's style, their 'pass and move'.

With Arsenal?

I set up my defensive players as above, then leave all other players on "team." That way I can change mentalities quickly and easily during a match (if necessary), yet I still have the preset defensive foundations to back the team up.

So, if my team mentality was 14 for example, my wingers would be set to "team"- 14. This is just my approach however.

Very good question- I believe it can be done but as with many factors of this game I'm not entirely sure exactly how.

I'd say short passing with an attacking mentality. Short for the pass, attacking mentality for the movement thereafter I guess.

so you build your tactic on theory 5x5 so if your atacking players have 14 mentality your d-line is 14?

Yup- although with Arsenal I now only have two defensive players so it's 2x8.
