I was wondering what levels of success people had had in using TT&F frameworks (as described by wwfan - see the unofficial Tactics Bible or FM Britain) in FM07. I have had only moderate success using the Rule of Two, and very little testing the 5x5. Is anyone else having less-than-expected success, or is it down to another factor (other team instructions) etc.
On a slightly different note, I seem to always be caught out at the back. My defenders are not slow AND my defensive lines is deep, their mentalities follow rule of two yet STILL I continually get mid-paced strikers getting behind the line. Suggestions?
Agreed, you do tend to get swamped in various player instructions as time goes on. I have been playing as Spurs - in my first season I followed your advice Asmodeus, was very successful, but got hit be re-ranking the second season. Some tweaks got me playing well again, but still too many lost when I should be winning.

Start with global settings, and make adjustments from there if necessary. It's very easy to overcomplicate in this game.
That is a very good advice.
There is a pretty simple argument to back it up.
Asumption : 1. The AI tactics are mainly Global.
Asumption : 2. The AI tactics are better than in previous versions of FM.
Conclusion: Global settings work better than in previous versions of FM.
