The 4-1-4-1 Hold Up:
Team Intructions: Mentality(13), Creative Freedom(11), Passing(8), Tempo(8), Width(11), Closing Down(13), Time Waste(6), Deffensive Line(12). There are two ways to play them.

#1 Centerbacks as in the Playball tac. Normal Fullbacks. Deffensive Midfielder. Two Attacking Midfielders (Right/Left Center) on Mixed Forward Runs. Two Attacking Wingers. One man attack Striker. Fucus passing Mixed.

#2 Change Attacking Winger to Conservative Wingers. Give the Attacking Midfielders Often Forward Runs. Focus Passing Through The Middle.

The Counter-Attacking 4-1-4-1 Hold Up.
Team Instructions: Mentality(11), Creative Freedom(11), Passing(13), Tempo(13), Width(11), Closing Down(13), Time Waste(6 or 7), Deffensive Line(10 or 12).
Use Deffensive Fullbacks and Conservative Wingers. Apply Counter Attacking Option.

Fast strikers could be used with Target Man Supply Run on to ball. No Playmaker and Target Man Option only used if you notice you are not creating so many chances (preference). Cleon made a very good tactic except he uses two central midfields positioned in the Attacking midfield places, which I would recomend as he is very advanced in his settings (look for BluntBlade).

Wes_C it would also help if you tell me your next 4-5 opponents and the Bookies ratings. Cheers....

Forgot to add: Your three central midfielders up their Personal Passing to (6), but this again is up to you, but recomended if you have good passers for your league....

It's always nice to see a thread that spells out to people that 07 is NOT like 06.

And you're damn right, in 06 u could pick up a tactic and win most games and crusie your way through the game relatively easly.

07 is far more realistic and a real step-up I feel, alot of people don't like it balming various reasons...the real reason is because it's a hard game now and you actually have to read up and learn what to do if you want success with anything other than a tiptop team.

Good luck to you and may there be many more threads like this one....oh and i always play 442 wide

fuss i feel sorry for you man, you get so much stick about your tactic, when its the lemons the other end who just wanna click and play, without actully doing anything to win a game.
gets my goat

It's the reason that Cleon & others don't release there tactics. But you take the good with the bad and I'll keep producing tactics an ignoring the ignorent.

Anyway let's get back on topic shall we...

Counter-attacking all the way, telling the press the opposition will cause you problems. Before matches team talk:
Milwall, we can win this?
Ipswich, Portsmouth, and Southampton, wish luck
Preston, we can win this?

Just Guessing though....

Forgot to thank Fuss for adding a note. I seen your tactic and it's quite balanced as you have plans for different situations. You are aslo probably very good at finding players who suit your tactic, finding good traing set ups matched with good coaches, and know how to apply them. You're on top of the Press and the Team and have the players firing on all cylinders. You've also set out different tactics which means you are experimenting and working on different subjects, so the best of luck to you and hope for success (also) in the future....

Won Millwall 1 - 0 .

Pretty even had a lot of corners, so need a good routine to finish them.
