It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Analysing the Playball and the High Pressure Tactic:

The Playball: Things to notice:
Deffending: 3-9 players and Attacking: 1-7 players (not including the Goal Keeper).
The Strongest(best header) deffender has a little more closing down the the other, and this guy I have on the left side of the Central Deffense, behind the Attacking Midfielder. The Attacking Midfield (Playmaker) is in the Left Center position, so my Striker (Targetman) will be on the right side of the attack. The Target man has less mentality & Creative Freedom(Team) than the Forward both(15). He has hold up on ball, so I'm trying to creat following scenarios: Targetman Holds Up On Ball until the attacking creative Forward moves into space or wingers get into place. Players passing to Targetman who then flicks the ball to the attacking creative Forward.I hope you see what I'm getting at here... a sort of ballance and change of scenario with an Attacking Plan.

The Conservative Playball:
Deffending: 5-9 players Attacking 1-5 players. Counter-Attacking.

High Pressure Tactic:
Deffending: 3-5 players Attacking: 5-7 players. Down Both Flanks, and higher D-line. Now this is a tricky-attacking formation. Only use this in following scenarios: Comfortable favorite against Opposition. Chasing a goal when slight favorite over opposition.

The Conservative High Pressure:
Deffending 5-7 players Attacking: 1-5 players. Down Flanks and Counter-Attacking. As underdog chasing a goal.

I see in the mean time I've recieved a post from Beevster: In Two Man Attacks it seems (maybe only to me) that having one mentality high creative Forward can be very rewarding (See Playball above). Now if I play a One Man Attack then I don't do this as he will be all alone in the world. I don't know if you noticed the decription above on the One Man Attack: His Mentality & Creative Freedom around 13, Closing Down (7), and Rare Cross Balls. He stays more in the middle and since he's alone up there with a little Creative Freedom (13) he should be able to pick out some space and not wonder.

The player Individual Intructions I describe further up are a base for that type of player, just makes a Platform you will see that they can almost adapt into any Formation....

I would personally never go futher than 16 on team mentality, as I will have 5 Players attacking 80% of the time, this already very offensive and will cause problems against better opposition. I as a rule I will maximum use team Mentality (15) same as the Forward(Mentality 15). Have minimum 3 Deffensive Players(DCs and DM) and 2 players on 50/50 Def/Att(FBs), and 5 Attacking players. But again I say this is very attacking, and as a slight Favorite I balance out the Mentalities alot more to make it more conservative. Please read above. Hope you understand...

This is what I feel happens when you use a Team or player intruction of 18 Mentality: 90% attacking. This will mean you will get players that go for goal all the time, shooting from all angels causing lots of shots on goal but if the opposition has a good Goal Keeper he will have an easier time collecting your radical shooting, instead lower mentality will get more quality, but going to low will result in little/no shots on goal. I try 75% attacking(15) against much weaker Opposition, which usally does the trick.

All I need to know is: what is your presumed finishing position in the league (it will tell you in Club Information) and the next 4-5 games I need the Bookmakers Odds in those matches.
I won't go into all details of your squad, but could give some info on what tactic to use, probably a 4-1-4-1. But just give me info I asked for and no more. I´ll post an insite of this tactic later....
23rd is my predicted im never favourites to win a game, my highest position ive finished int he championship is one place above the relegation zone.

Now maybe some of you been wondering why I set the players Individual Instructions and team Instructions the way I do. It's very simple and not scientific where exactly a slider must be or ect... When you see the Highlights in a match you will notice the following: When you are Deffending you can see how many players you are deffending with, or when you are attacking how many players are you attacking with? Line this up with the who is the favorite to win the match you start to realise if your tactic holds. Make any sense? The mentality slider for example determines these prospects. Other assumptions can be made after you have made sure you are deffending with 5 men(minimum) when the opposistion attacks with 5 men, closing down for example. Now the way, as I have mentioned earlier, I have given closing down in the above player Instructions is in no way the only way to tackle this issue, but as a Platform. I'm just keeping things simple and I think it's the safest way to start, and if it's working why change it? I'm just trying in the simplest way to explain different tactics and which platform one can use, because by just looking at tactics in their natural form are more attacking and others naturally deffensive. Using thier strengths is what I've been trying to achieve. Like I find it's hard to defend with some tactics, and attack with others because of the outlets you have. 4-4-2 I find difficult to be successful unless I either don't mind being in midzone obscurity for a while, or I have a very good side, mind you not nesassarily a World Class side. So I have got through the Playball and the High Pressure tactics, I would like to give some small insites into some more conservative formations to stabalise a weak(in Bookies eyes!) team.

Wes_C if it's alright give me an hour or so and I will try to see if I can't put out the 4-1-4-1 Hold Up tactic. Alright? Cheers....
