SWYCT has limited my choice somewhat, but Holland was the target of my first overseas scouting mission! English players are very good as well but can be expensive, Scots seem to get better the longer the game goes on.

I like the French but then I usually play in France.
I always have a soft spot for Spanish players as well while rarely do Scandinavian players do wrong. I have a huge crop in my current French game.

I have a thing against German players and I rarely find a capable Italian for some reason.

I have a thing against Belgian players since having [edited]at Mallorca, but countries I do like are Scotland (consistent average to high stats), and players from Eastern Europe.

It all depends what country I'm playing in, if in Germany a South American would certainly be a coup!

I love signing really obscure internationals, who bizarrly turn up in the player search screed sometimes.

They're rarely any good, but i just won't learn and i'm still a sucker for those 4 caps from American Samoa
