I've just finished my 2nd season with Woking & have finished 2nd 2 years in a row so now find myself in the 2nd division. I am still a semi - proffesional team thou & can't seem to become full-time. All my players & staff have full-time contracts apart from me. Does any one know whats wrong - is it a bug?? Is it fixed in EP3? HELP some-one please
I am not sure. I think somone said as soon as you are promoted from the conference you become pro. If i was you i would carry on for another season and check it then.
Yeah but I'm now in division 2 & still havn't turned proffesional yet!!! Surely I would have become prof at the begining of this season even if I didn't when I reached the 3rd division??
Nah, in 01/02 - in fact all the CM3 variations - it was promotion to the 2nd Division that coincided with full-time status. Is it CM4 you're playing with?
I feel your pain.
This is one of CMs great mysteries, and I've never seen an acceptable answer to this question. Sometimes your club turns pro and sometimes it doesn't, the rules behind it have never been explained clearly to me as there always seem to be exceptions.
On the other hand, the status doesn't really make that much of a difference, I think players sign for you because of your reputation, and that one seems to rise independently of the status.
Yep playing with CM4. Came 2nd in conf & won the play-offs.In 3rd div came 2nd so got auto promotion place & have just started playing friendlies in build up to 2nd division but am still semi-pro. Just loaded up game for first tm with EP3 and no change.....
Surely only being semi-pro effects how often you train as normally players are only part-time??? Or does CM not take this into account in which case it makes no difference I suppose!!
Soz !!!!!! I guess I just don't like to see my beloved Woking at a disadvantage!!!! They are turning pro in real life as of next season so I guess I just want it to be as realistic as possible.....
Don't quote me on this but I think the only difference it makes is that only semi-pro/amateur teams can offer part-time contracts. In CM you can still offer part-time contracts as a pro club, but some people claimed that reverted their status back to semi-pro at the end of the season, not sure if that's true.
It's definetely a very frequently asked question.
