I seem to have a lot of problems with my side doing pretty well, living up to expectations, and then things starting to go horribly bad somewhere during the middle of the season. I just can't seem to inspire the guys out of their downward spiral. It's like a snowball going downhill, and it gets harder and harder to undue. When it is at its worst, I give up 2 or 3 goals early in each match, regardless of the quality of competition. I try to bring in new players, and they just join in on the fun. I try disciplining the players, and they stage a revolt. I try new tactics, but it is almost like they won't come out of this slump until they just get around to it (on their own time).
Anyone else ever encounter that? As I am always with some lower league club, nobody has the money for wholesale changes from top to bottom (besides, they would just move up my scheduled sacking if I tried dropping the whole squad). It doesn't happen every season, or with every club, but in my latest career three different clubs have quit on me, so to speak, and got me ran out of town with their play. Stevenage, SC Amiens, and a Danish club that I can't immediately recall the name of did this to me. Of course, SC Amiens was the worst. First time I ever managed a French club and those guys did nothing but whine and complain about everything all season, and turned a "Board expects promotion" into a brave battle against relegation (we escaped by one point).

Anyone have problems with long runs of bad form? Post #2
I don't know if I have ever started a match with 4-5-1. I've ended up with one after pulling hair out for 45 or 60 minutes...
I have had a lot of penalties given against me. I thought maybe my tactics were 'cracked', but then that must mean any new ones were pre-'cracked' because they would only seem to pick up the squad for half of the next couple of games before the tumble was back on again.

Anyone have problems with long runs of bad form? Post #6
i know what most of u guys are going through in my first season at sheff wed i went the first 14 games of the season with out a win then i went 7 games with out losing but it was all down to buying The Jolly Green Frog 12 goals in 6 games what a player.
What Rek said, no player naming.
The idea of LLM is to find out these players for yourself, and not be given "tips" on who will bang in 12 goals in six games as you have. People posting names makes it difficult for LLaMa's when they come accross these players through normal LLaMa ethics. Suddenly he is no longer a "unknown" player, he is someone whom you know will slot in a few goals for you. This is one of the main reasons why there is no player naming on this board. This forum rule extends accross all players, not just the "unknown". Hence buck tooth Brazilian is also not to be mentioned. If he is mentioned by name, then another is named and the situation snow balls.
This has been a community announcement brought to you by the LLaMa Ethics Board.
