Hi Guys,

i hope my question will be ok. I am french and dont know english teams in conference. But i like the challenge and the way one can struggle in conference. However i would like to have some success, on top of it I am not a very good coach too

I would appreciate some advices ! Which team is the "best" to coach in conference in term of :
- team,
- financial,
- stadium (Yeovil seems a good one but its team and finance are pretty low),
- players attractivness.

The BIG 5 in my opinion are in descending order..... Yeovil, Doncaster, Barnet, Chester, and Dag&Redbridge. If I were you I'd start with Barnet. Good luck

would you not rather take a team like leigh Railway mechanics( a favourite on this board) to the top). You might have to struggle it out in the conference for a few season's to create a half decent side but it would be a far greater challenge so the acheivement of football league football would taste so much better

so its not going to happen. Stick with barnet, if your as good as me you might get a top half finish with them

And what's wrong with someone genuinely asking? I'd rather he come here and find out from the regs which team is appropriate for him than to have start spewing to us about how he achieved consecutive promotions to the Premiership with Rushden.

I agree with you there...but there has been a million and one threads asking these sorts of questions. A little searching wouldnt go astray

Ed, seriously each team has it's good and bad points and no one team stands far up and above the rest. Maybe if you have a look at the real life table stands of the Conference, which you can find here, it will give you a better idea in your own mind on who to pick. Just make sure you don't pick Doncaster.

I'm having quite a bit of fun with Southport. It's another team u might need to play a few seasons with before going up though....
