I make the assumption that when you say that "they want to come", you mean they will engage properly in contract negotiations, as oposed to just giving the generic "I aint coming so leave me alone"?
I think this end of the scale is very iffy. Without wishing to tip, in CM01/02 there was a certain way of "creative contracing" that with a little money and reasonable wage package could get pretty much any body who's contract was up for expiry. It wasnt a case of the player wanting to come, it was a case of the game getting it completely wrong when deciding on offers. I feel it does detract from the LLM feeling when after 7 or 8 seasons you have a squad full of ex-big names, and to be honest, when it gets to this point I usually jump ship.

Not by any stretch of the imagination could a true LLaMa justify this kind of pÃ*sh. LLM's about realism, for fÃºck's sake. If you think it's realistic to sign such players, pÃ*ss off to the GPG.

Rek, if you think it's realistic to sign barrowloads of Internationals for Lower League Clubs in the Lower Leagues, I think you've been standing too close to the exhaust pipe.

The LLM ethos (to me at the very least) is about playing the game down where it is cheap and nasty whilst being as realistic as possible. Yes, you sign better players, but not those you know in real life would have nothing to do with you. As I've said, CM has some nasty bits in it that can allow you to "exceed" reality, and violating it to this extent surely runs against what LLM is all about?
