Having created great home and away tactics to use with my LLM team (chester), i managed to go 15 games unbeaten, drawing 3 times and winning the rest. however the new season has seen the AI crack my tactic completely, reducing my attacking chances to zero, and letting in the odd goal (mainly low score draws now though). I tried both subtely tweaking my successful tactics to no avail, and then went all out, changing formation entirely. Neither have worked, so my question is: Should I continue tweaking my successful tactics in the hope that i'll find another good variation, or change formations completely and attempt to find something new that works? What have other people found in this regard?

Nb. I'm not asking for specific tactics, just whether people have found it necessary to ditch tactics entirely once they've been beaten, or can they be tweaked into a new lease of life?

Asking for tactical tips, bragging about a super tactic eh......... ok
Do what ever you want man, tweaking it may work, changing it might work.. You'll just have to try it, wont you ?

i was trying to encourage some non-specific, LLM-related tactical discussion.
"The following will not be tolerated and may result in a friendly burning from the regulars:
Player naming
Tactics naming
Use of Editors
Bragging
Questioning the ethics of LLM"
I wasn't asking for the naming of specific tactics, simply what people's experiences were with the AI cracking tactics in the LLM scene.
Apologies for the (hardly) bragging, next time i'll just say i developed a succcessful tactic.

maybe one of the mods would like to give this thread the thumbs up (or down), so some decent non-specific tactical discussion can continue.

If you're playing CM 01/02 the only way your tactic can be cracked that quickly is if its an unrealistic super-tactic. Which would suggest its not really LLM to begin with.
I'd design a new tactic to suit my best XI players and go from there.

Now shut up, before I let Evo off his leash.

How you deal with your tactics is entirely up to you.
We don't give advice on tactics.

Thumbs down villz.
LLM is finding out the best way by yourself without the need for helping hands. If the thread continued it would at some stage spiral into a tipping tactics discussion. If it wasn't you it would be someone else.
Trust me past experience has shown it to be so. I'll leave this open for a while, so at least you can have the right of reply.
Ya have one hour. |
