DJ, stop it. Not many of us visit GQ and just because there's a lot of moaning there, shouldn't mean people can't complain here.

Moaning is a waste of everyone's time. As far as I see it, people can do that girlish 'I really need to get this off my chest' to their hearts content in GQ4. Not that it contributes anything, but I can see that people would want to vent their feelings. At the same time, I feel that LLM is a place where people can deal with adversity, instead of crying about it.
'I can't scout properly, so CM4 suXors' simply does nothing.
'I can't scout properly, what's the impact of that on LLM?' is a very valid question.
I'm not trying to be a sycophant, I see CM4's errors. But I refuse to stand idly and see LLM, the forum where I feel most at home, turn into another whinging forum.
Apart from that it is my honest opinion that CM4, certainly with EPs added, is playable. Could be (and will be) better, but I enjoy the game already.

The offside rule isn't perfect in the game. However, I tend to think of the offside rule in the old way anyway, so I can cope with it.

I tried EP3 and moved back to CM0102. May also be because I've got a P3-550.

I'm glad this thread is here. I picked up my 01/02 game for the first time since February and realised once again how addictive it is. With comments like these I am not really even tempted to shell out the money for CM4 until it is, in iajafer's words, "a game I can enjoy rather than put up with".
Monaco back to Division 1 in 25/26 (I hope). France favourites for the WC title in 2026 (I can only dream). |

I realize this is leading right into off-topic land and I risk being called a sycophant again, but I gotta bring up just one more point about this. The reason I like 2D so much is that it has one big advantage over the commentary mode, and that's that I can see the players that are involved in the play but never mentioned, usually because the ìdiot is standing 10 feet away from his man and then is way too slow to catch up, or he's not holding his position or something like that.
If I look at the commentary only I sometimes miss things like these, but they can be fixed during the game if you spot them in the 2D view. I think I may actually be making wiser tactical decisions now than I used to in 01/02, but I'm still crap.

Mr Memorial,
Your post appears to verging on tipping, please tread carefully.
However, your post was very long, so most people here won't read it and you'll get away with it :p

I've just realised how stupid that is. Obviously they will be on full-time contracts.
