we are all suffering from information overload and that is what is really causing the problems.

The transfer system is giving me no problems. In fact that is one of the few areas in which I am not having a problem. The training area is like working out a Rubic Cube when someone has swapped a couple of coloured squares around. Stuffed if I can work it out.
It's the scouting issue 99% for me. At present with the inability for scouts to find players without clubs; my game in Scotland where scouts return home empty handed; the ridiculous ease in which you are able to persuade a highflyer to come in on loan to your LL club.
Scouting is LLM. Without it, LLaMa's are going to be a dying breed. |

Just a thought, but I suppose scouts can give reports on players only if they see them play. If this is the case, they will hardly find any free player.

I know my scouts have never found any unattached players, yet, but in an earlier game with EP2 this was made up for by getting a load of U19s at the start of each season after the first. I just carry on with the players I start with plus a couple of loanees and maybe a player coach or two if I can find them.
In HK at least I got a transfer kitty of £8K and managed to buy a couple of player from my division rivals. Their players were as crap and valueless as my own.
I thought the whole point of LLM was to make do with what you had, not to fill up your team with unnattached players thus increasing your wage bill well in excess of the boards recommendations. Come to think of it, with CM4, if there were any unattached gems, I couldn't afford their wages anyway as I am already on the limit of the boards wage cap.

Eminem United, Si did release three EPs aye, but the second was nothing, it fixed a few bugs and really could have been added to ep3 instead. I would rather say they have released two EP's that matter.
Oh and wingco, are you ever coming back to #llm? |

I agree with the scouting complaint, but the unrealistic loans are a non-issue to me. Why would you even try to loan that star striker from the SPL, or that winger from Eindhoven, etc.? There were plenty of ways to cheat in 01/02 and that didn't stop anyone here from enjoying the game because some things were declared off limits. In other words, if you don't think this player would even think twice about joining your team in real life, don't make a frigging offer.
For now you'll have to use the Player Search and filter for free transfers to see out of contract players, it's not good but it has to do. The good thing there is that, unlike with loans, it is much harder to sign good players on a free transfer because like you said other teams will snatch them up. So it's not that easy to exploit the feature, which is good.
The game is definetely playable, enjoyable and compatible with LLM. Get over it and work your way around the annoyances and instead enjoy the 2D. It's a new game that'll require a set of new guidelines to play it properly.

Dale, you patronizing git.
You've been in LLM for about a month and you have the audacity to tell respected regulars to get over it?
If long-time LLM players like Taips and me say the game isn't compatible with LLM, then it's not. Why the hell should we "work our way around the annoyances" and "enjoy" the eye-candy that's 2D? It's a game we've played and enjoyed for years, not one we should have to endure.
To deal with your points one by one:
Yes, we can ignore players that won't come to a Club IRL, but others won't. Newbies will come in with tales of great success having signed half of Real Madrid for Morecambe and not realising the folly.
You can't sign free players, not because other teams will get them first, but because your scouts don't find them. That's good? That's bollocks!!!
Playable? That's your opinion. Enjoyable? If you have the odd month for a season. Compatible with LLM? Never in the creation of Christ.
Now, my honest opinion and heart felt advice is that you don't pÃ*ss me off any more.

I suppose I'm a tad tired of guys donning the rose coloured specs and not acknowledging the obvious faults in CM4. It starts to reek of sycophancy.
No-one is more dyed-in-the-wool CM/LLM than me, and I honstly believe that eventually the game will be better than CM3 01/02, but it's not happened yet, not by a long shot.
...but I can wait |

Sorry that I pushed a button there, and I hereby change my "CM4 is definetely playable..." to "CM4 is in my humble opinion playable..."
I still defend my point about the loans tho. I'm sure you've endured plenty of newbies coming in with tales of great success in older versions because they did all kinds of other things that aren't proper in LLM and it didn't stop you from enjoying the game (or ripping them apart for doing so).
I've been playing pretty much in compliance with the LLM guidelines a long time, I don't think seniority on this forum should make my point more or less qualified. Your second paragraph was a lot more patronizing than my post.

I'm sure you'll "get over it"
You're no less qualified to give an opinion, though I certainly don't have to agree with it, but you have to take into consideration that it was typed in a red mist, possibly partially explained by my last reply to Rek.
(You retired at 31 in my Kettering game, btw )
