ive found it runs very slow with the beta patch. and i have a fast processor and lots of ram. i do think the 2nd beta patch has made it a little faster but still needs improvement

if so it should be more than capeable.. just don't run too many programs at the same time.. Celeron processors hate that.

i don't run any other programs Canabary. i make sure everything else isnt running and i even set FM to high priority on task manager.

im looking at the back of the FM case now and it says minimum specs: 1.2ghz compared to my 2.2, 256 RAM compared to my 736 RAM. i've got way above them and the game is so slow.
i started a Swans save with league 2 and above with a medium database. i play my first match and the clock goes so slow. takes about 10mins to play 1 match! (and i do have the sliders up full before you ask). then i had to wait 13mins for the league cup first round results! this is beyond a joke. im waiting more than playing. i just don't get it. i'd love to see what a 1.2ghz processor with 256RAM runs like compared to mine. i don't get how the game would work at all.

That's your problem.

Setting priority to high always messes up games. Seriously. It takes away a lot of power from the background processes for Windows. Causing the game to slow down immensly. It might help once or twice. But overal it causes nothing but trouble. I'd keep priority on Normal if I were you. I had the same problem with a few strategy games (didn't think that higher priority meant crappier speeds..)

Minimum specs just tell what you need to run a game, not run a game well.

Sadly each year as the game moves on and gets bigger if our computers stay the same its bound to run slower.

And I know you don't really care for my advice.. but I'd say wait for the patch. if it's still slow. Ebay could be an option.

It depends, what you consider slow might be the same speed i am playing the game at but i consider that speed fast.

If its too much of a chore to wait then either buy a new computer or sell the game. Its up to you really and whether you are happy.

yes ive tried it on normal but i dont notice any difference. and i do care for your advice. i'll wait for the patch if it's coming out next week?

err I'd think it's closer to 2-3 weeks to be honest.. There's a lot of bugs they need to take care of. And considering there are no money hungry directors saying "RELEASE NOW! WE NEED MONEY!" they will probably take their time and iron out any possible bugs (well most at least). But I really think It's worth waiting for it.
And I'm surprised changing the priority didn't help.. how many leagues do you have selected?
