How come you cannot approach to sign a player when his contract has say 6 months left, like in the older games. Im playing as leeds and you cannot approach to sign players in england whose contracts are expiring but can from abroad. Is it a problem that can be fixed? Cheers Alkmaar

You can't approach domestic players until they have 1 month left.

I couldn't remember what the rule was now but in my game it's just gone one month before all the contracts expire and I can finally approach.

1 month is correct for signing players in the same nation, England anyway. This was also the case in FM07.

Was like this in FM 2007. You can only approach players with six months or less on their contracts if they are playing outside your country.
