Started new game under beta 2 patch as newcastle.
told Board I could get europe placing at begining and was given 9 mill.
Spent that and then after 1st game of season went to board and asked the stupid question, I expected the standard FM answer("we feel etc etc), but oh no, transfer funds made immediatly availabe...........20 million.......

Perhaps I have caught FM out because it's early sunday morning.?

This happened with me at Portsmouth. I started with £9million, asked for more money and was given £31.5 million

I think on FM 2006 I got extra transfer funds after issuing my board with an ultimatum after they rejected my original request. That was an ever bigger shock that an ultimatum worked!

Liverpool's board gave me money preseason and during the window.

Keep an eye on finances tho, the budget improves, your balance deteriorates.

I have had more money given more often than denied. Then again, Portsmouth gave me some 8 million with a balance of 90 million, not hard for them to throw 15 more my way
