Coop is infamous around these parts
Default Playing someone out of position

How much of an effect does it have?

I have 2 LB's injured so I have replaced them with a CM who has good crossing, and tackling with and reasonable positioning.

If you're playing a lower league manager, it's alright.. If you're playing in main division of the country make sure the player that you played in the match are versatile player..

I think the players performance decline is calculated by how out of position he is. For example, if his only position is Striker, then he'd get a 100% if played as a striker. However the further away from that position he is played in, the steeper the decline; 75% for winger, 65% for a central midfielder and so on...

I'm pretty sure this is how it works. The above percentages are not the official just my interpretation to give you an idea of how it works imo.
