Actually, I might have read about this a while ago. It is a tournament that the winners of each continental tournament play in. It is hosted by the World Cup hosts

its not a bug at all! every year, the copa america invites two extra teams to compete. look it up on wiki!

has anyone else found any other 'wierd things' in football manager 08. if so post them and i am sure that the helpfull people that solved my problem will solve yours.

Being unable to get through a single match without one team or the other notching up 25+ goal attempts without wasting your life replaying hundreds of times...that's weird.

every single time this comes up people try to claim it isn't a bug. if that's the case, how come it's only ever england who get invited, and not any other team from europe?

si said it was fixed in the last patch, so can people stop pretending that it isn't a bug.

Exactly.

Not once has anyone reported someone like Spain being invited (who are probably the most likely Europeans to be invited). It was a bug which was fixed with the patch.

Just patch the game, England getting invited is ridiculous because it has none, zero, no chance of ever being invited in real life.
