Please help me.

I cannot get my back ground to change from that stupid pitch.

Please help me because I have tried everything and still no luck.

I have downloaded a Premier League Logos etc.

They are as follows.

My Computer
C:
Programme Files
Sports Interactive
Foorball Manager 2006
Data
Graphics
Backgrounds

The file is there with the default of the pitch.

Please assist.

Could you possibly list, in as much detail as possible, exactly what you would like to do and what you have done so far and I will try to help.

I want to get the Liverpool badge as my background instead of the default pitch. The file is saves where I listed below. My preferences are as follows under the display.

Skin - Metallic 2006
Author - Sports Interactive
Version - 1.0
Website - Default Skin
Recent Folder List - 5

My only ticked boxes are Full Screen and Show Background Pictures.

Have you changed the name of the graphic you want to display to default.jpg ?

If not, do so (you may need to move the original file into another folder first).

Once you have done this, start up FM.

If the graphic still doesn't show, go into preferences and make sure that the "Use skin cache" option is unticked and click confirm.

Quit FM, start FM up again and your background should now have the badge of the worlds greatest club on it.

At this point, go into preferences and turn the skin cache back on.

If none of the above helps, I will be home in about 5 and a half hours and will have FM in front of me and may be able to suggest other things to get it working.

If you can post in here to let me know if you managed to solve it or not and I will know if I need to come in here and give you a hand later.

I've got this problem & i've followed the exact addvice above but still no joy, any idea's would be greatly appreciated.

Followed everything up there, but still can't change my background pic!!

Put the file you want as a background image in this folder:
\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\backgrounds

Rename the existing file called default to something else.

Rename you new background file to default.
Make sure it is a jpg image (not bmp or png).

Delete the contents of the data\cache folder.

Load up FM - background should have changed. If not switch to one of the skins included with the game and turn off skin cache.

If you are using a skin you have downloaded you may need to replace the default.jpg in the following folder (as above):
\Football Manager 2006\data\skins\SKIN_NAME\graphics\backgrounds

michaeltmurratuk...you are the man...i got it...only 1 problem though...my pic is stretched all over the screen and all blurred etc...how can i fix that
