You need to use a bigger image (or better quality) - idealy the background image should be at least 1024x768 (or whatever resolution you are playing in).

If the image is smaller than the screen size the game will stretch it (like your windows desktop).

it is possible!!! i assigned 7 background pictures to the african champions league competition screen and they show up randomly!
