to cut a long story shorter, ive gone Athletic Bilbao but also edited the Basque nation to have a natyional team and an unplayable league structure including all the clubs not in the top 2 Spanish tiers. Unfortunately, as ive read elsewhere, this means that none of the regen players who are exclusively Basque can sign for Athletic becuase the search is on their
second nationality being Basque. It has to be said that i have been quite lucky as all the existing good Basque players and all the regens from alaves, osasuna etc who have dual nationality have 'opted for spain', leaving basque as only their second nationality and allowing Atheltic to sign them.
Is there any save-game editor which allows for second nationalities to be edited?
If not at present, can any editor-makers try to include this in any future versions, if it can be done at all?
And can SI change their hard-coding slightly in future FM versions to allow Athletic to sign players of Basque 1st- and 2nd-nationality ( i know there is no such thing as basque first nationality in the initial release but it cant be that difficult and i know many other players attempt to add the basque national team) so i can finally get a decent set of regens to choose as players for them?!
Thanks for any help you can offer guys...
PS Ive played half-a-season with the Basque features without a problem other then the one above, cant guarantee its ongoing stability but if anyone wants a copy of the DB to have a look or try to play please let me know! Other features in the modified DB are: national team and leagues for Brittany (changed from Monaco), Bavaria (Liechtenstein), Catalonia (Andorra) and Canary Islands (Zaire) - all possible players can play for the new nations, each league is unplayable, big teams still in original leagues); North Sea league (Dutch) featuring Scottish, Belgian and Dutch Teams; Benelux League (the remainder from Holland and Belgium); '3rd place' histories on all major cup competitions based on real semi-finalists; each country's national names changed to their native language (EspaƱa, Hrvatska, Deutscher 1.Bundesliga etc).
Sorry if that's not the right place to post this, please advise (or move it appropriately!), cheers
