Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Not Enough Coaches

For my training system I need more coaches in order to get upto 4-5 stars rating but my Sheffield United board wouldn't let me sign anymore coaches so most of my training categories only have a 2 star rating, does anyone know how to get round this?

Maybe get rid of the rubbish coaches you've got already, or build up your finances so that the board allow you more coaches.

If your wages are below budget you will probably be allowed to hire more coaches- otherwise you will need to fire and re-hire. make sure you unclick auto-assign and allocate your coaches manually.

The problem I have is that if I sack any of these coaches it'll cost £300k and I wouldn't want to waste the money.

Have you just joined the team? When you are new at a club the backroom staff should agree to mutual termination of their contract.

Yeah i've just joined over a month ago. They've agreed to mutual termination but still have to pay loads to release them so i'm a bit stuck on the old two star ratings.

Hi Mike...The one thing I enjoy about this version is there are a lot of 4/5 star coaches...Are you trying to get 4/5 star by having more than one coach on a facet of training?

I have 1 coach employed on each (no youth or 1st team coaches, they are all just coaches)...I have 9 (inc an ass man) and have 5 star across the board.

You are sure that the coaches actually have players to coach?

Currently Rez I have 12 (inc Assistant) coaches. 3 of them are youth coaches. I need better coaches and ideally one coach for a specific requirement but my board wont let me sign anyone else. Even when I spread the coaches to do one specific job many of the categories remain on 2 or 3 star.

Hmmm I am suprised....If you go to the training bit, select coaches and then highlight one coach in particular on the right is the assigned scheds and his star rating...even when I have all checked I only get 2 and 3 stars in all...The 3 star one is obviously their best one so deselect and only have them training that disipline...But if they are doing that and they are still 3 star I am stumped mucker...

What coaches do you have

Stuart McCall
Ron Reid
Brain Kidd
Mick Jones
Andy Leaning
Tony Daley
Scott Sellars
Kev Paxton
Kev Fog

Yeah those ones mate and a couple of others, i've quit the game quickly cos I need to pop out but i'll note down all my coaches a bit later. It's a shame cos I found a suitbale coach to sign for every preference before the board canvelled them.
