Hi,

I've checked the faq, the manual, & searched the forums, but can't find any convincing answer as to what coaching stats are needed to get 5 stars on Set Piece training.

There is a thread saying 18 plus in both technical & tactical .. I have a coach with 20 in each (plus 20 in mental, another suggested stat), he only gets 4 stars when solo-training set pieces.

I've another coach with 18 mental, 19 techincal, & 19 tactical knowledge (not tactical training) - still only a 4 at most.

Another suggestion was Attacking ... I've onewith attacking 20, technical 20 - still only gets 4 stars.

I've seen a suggestion of 18 plus in attack, mental & technique as being necessary. Slight problem with that though is there's no such coach in my game

(And that's with large db, & all players (plus coaches I hope) retained from an aweful lot of leagues.

Has anyone got 5 stars on set-piece coaching, what's the name of the coach concerned, & what do you think is the magic combination?

Just thought of one possibility ... 18 plus in technical, tactical training, & attacking.

If that is correct, then there's just one coach with that combination in my game (& most people's, at least to start).

Step forward Boro Primorac of Arsenal ... any Arsenal managers able to confirm he gives 5 stars?

You could just use FMModifier to give a coach 18 in all the required attributes and check.

or you could use FM Genie and search for a coach who gives 5 stars in set pieces

I don't believe I have either FM Modifier or FM Genie, & also of course can't be bothered to download them, & muck with a database, etc - I thought it might be simpler & quicker to ask here ... especially as others will surely be pondering this & in searching may find this thread.

Anyone have an answer?

The hardest of the hard...This one has been trial and error or just plain jammy luck for me...In fact having just checked (I did have 5 star, he seems to have dropped down to 4star) BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

High Attacking, and high technical do it usually

It's very simple. To get five stars for set pieces you need:

Technique 20 with Mental and Attacking = 30+ Combined (eg 20+10, 15+15) or
Technique 19 with Mental and Attacking = 33+ Combined (eg 20+13, 17+16) or
Technique 18 with Mental and Attacking = 36+ Combined (eg 20+16, 18+18) or
Technique 17 with Mental and Attacking = 39+ Combined (eg 20+19, 20+20)

I did lots of research to get 5 stars and I think when you filtered the search for staff....Fernando Hierro was one , also some Italian called Scala or something..............
