I have had sucsess with this tactic for my middlesbrough team.
We started the season badly using another tactic and we were down in 14th place.
I gave your tactic a go and had marvelous results i finished 7th in the leauge and won the FA cup 2-0 against Chelsea.

I've been using this tactic for 20 games now in the cup, champions league and in the league
so far I've had 20 games played
18 wins
2 defeats
Highest win: 13-0 over Badajoz in the cup winning 25-0 over to legs
Biggest defeat: 3-1 over Milan at SanSiro missing 6 regular first team players.

I haven't been doing too well with bigger teams (have a good self-made tactic for LL teams tho) so i thought i'd take on Chelsea so it'd be easy ... well ...
I had some HORRIFIC losses, went 2-0 at Inter and lost 5 goals in 2nd half, lost 4-3 to Sheff Utd after being up 3-0 this time and lost 5-1 to Aston Villa.
New tactic and 5 won in a row against Blackburn (5-0), Blackburn (3-0), Slavia (6-1) and Reading (5-0)
