Haven't triede this with any other team than Atl. madrid.
My passing completion was not that great with atl. madrid. The tactic is more bassed on fast ball´s to the strikers(not long ball). så i think i would do great with a poor team, if you try with farnborough, please give som feedback on how you did :-)

So far so good; I'm training Sporting of Portugal and I won the three friendies made: Espinho (6-1); Aves (5-0); Pescara (3-0)

Hasn't been doing too for me with Ipswich, drawn one and lost 4 in first five games of the season, will stick with it and see if it can turn things around. Will report back.

I tried this tactic with my MOLDE FK second season(game 4) and it worked well. it worked well in that match. I'll try it some more to see if it is long lasting.  | |

I am starting to use this with my second season as Portsmouth Manager.
First year I was trying things with different tactics and was not consistant finished 2 places above relegation(very clear mind) and won the FA Cup
Only circumstantial evidence so far but:
P 4 W 2 D 0 L 2 F 10 A 6
results are
Preston (a) L 1-2 target man was Kanu. Dominated and had good ratings
Middlesbrough (h) L 0-1 target man was Kanu. Dominated and had good ratings
Teplice (h) UEFA Cup W 5-0 target man was Zigic. Totally dominant as 5-0 at half time and made changes to rest players
Blackburn (a) W 4-3 target man was Zigic. 0-1 at half time but was totally dominant in second half both Blackburn goals in second half were pens.
My Standard team is
Gk Eyenama
DL Taylor
DR Jagielka
DC Campbell
DC Hangeland
ML Krancjar
MR Giuly
MC Fernandes
MC Adu
FC Higuain
FC (target man) Zigic

i would like to point out, like in Pompeyboys situation, you need at good Header/strength as targetman.
People should try Michael Gravgaard from Fc Copenhagen, as target man.
