Queen of the Stevenage

I've played this system since 06, with the obvious slight tweaking. However, this incarnation tends to lead to the lone striker not scoring at all.

Fine, if you have someone like Saviola in there who is a genuine playmaker, but having an out-and-out striker there tends to curb their ratings.

Can anyone suggest any ideas?

IMO the striker should have lower mentality - 15 I guess.

Then, team passing is set too high - I would say this would result in lots of long balls forward. Unless you have Crouch, Carew, or Drogba as striker you should not use it.

Give your three AMCs attacking mentality, often FWR and high creative freedom. they should storm in the penalty area and support the SC.

You also need an excellent AMC who can be an effective playmaker.

or....you could reduce creative freedom on the wingers and attack over the flanks getting crosses in to your striker and amc. And I find it funny how you micro-managed his playing style (fwr,long shots, crosses) and then gave him lots of creative freedom...
