Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default 3-6-1(3-1-3-2-1) The BIG guy formation

I have played this tactic for 3 seasons now with a low league team and has been very sucessfull. Played one season with barcelona too and won the league.

The idea is to play calm. You will try to grab opposition on your half and then build up your play slowly while all your players get into position. The 3 CDs and the DMC will stay back to stop Counter-Attacks, while your team tryes to break the opposition defence.

The big thing about this tactic is that it doesnt need tweaking at all!! You will notice that the mentality slider of the team is on defensive, but that is the idea. This way your team will only go up to attack for the REAL good chances. And dont worry, you will create chances even against lower teams.
You should only adapt the creativity sliders for the players that have good creativity, flair and decisions(on my game the only one is my AMC). I wont recomend more than 3.

The Tactic

Central Defenders
You should grab the quick ones, with good positioning, team work and off the ball. Jumping is also important since most of the opposition chances will come from crosses.

Defensive Midfielder
The same as always with a plus to Strenght and Work Rate. If he get a good long shot too he will be perfect

Central Midfielder
This is one of the most important guys after your CF. He needs to know how to mark but how to shoot too. This is your surprise man, he will come behind everyone and try to finalize it.

Left/Right Midfielder
Speed here is essential because they will be the only man's on the sides. Good crossing can make you score more, but i would look more for their defensive status.

Attacking Midfielders
This guys will be the ones that scores most of your chances. They will try one-twos with your CF or dribble to goal. They need to have high tech and inteligence. If they have high Creativty, Flair and Decision you can give them more Creativity Freedom and watch them run the game.

Center Forward

Think about Jan Koller and try to grab someone as close as possible. Needs to have the highest strenght possible. Good heading is great too. Some nice additions is Passing and Long Range Shots.

Tweaks
As I said its not needed, but if you are desesperated for a win try putting ALL OUT ATTACK and PRESSING on ALWAYS. Works for me.
If you guys do any tweak that works post the feedback here.

INFO[LIST]

This is not SUPER tactic, this is one that worked for my squad, and if you have one simmilar or will buy one simmilar grab it.

I will be very pleased to listen to your feedback here

I have not checked Target Man because it doesnt seem to be working for me, try it at will and post feedback if you want.

If you have the right guys for each position you dont need a super team to win with this tactic, but you need the right ones(if you put a slow guy to play as your M R you will see what happens)

Remember that team talks are very important to the way your team plays

Remember that a team needs time to adjust to a tactic

Try to have at least 2 CFs of same quality. Being a key part of this tactic, if one is having a bad form, bring the other for like 3-5 games and the first one should be recovered

HAVE FUN!!

Hugo(Coritiba - BRA)
Adriano(Inter - ITA)

Well I made a set for this tactic,
The counter is specially effective against bigger clubs, tha attack one is when you are expected to win, or the other team defense is hard to break. I usually start with the attacking(if im big favorite home) or counter(if im not favorite away or the field is wide).

good luck
