Hi all. I've just bought Felipe from Udinese for my Blackburn team. His work Permit was turned down so i appealed and then he was allowed to sign. But, now that I have him I can;t actually play him because it say's WP (work permit) next to his name. Does this mean I have to wait till he plays a few times for his country or something? What can I do?
well what they require you to do is send him to your feeder club on loan until he gets citizenship with that country (3 or 4 years usually). in actuality however if you loan him out for say half a season and he does well his rep should go up enough that he will get a work permit.
Can someone just confirm how long it is to get a WP when playing in Belgium. I have it in mind that it is a lot less than elsewhere (hence I have a belgian feeder club). Is it 2 or 3 years?
Cheers for the advice guy. I offered Cardenas a new contract after 1 year on loan at Mons and he now has a WP. Though, the same was not true for Dejan Milovanic and he'll to wait it out a while longer.
