the curse of newcastle... I'm having a hell of a time signing established talent after the first season. I've sold Milner and N'Zogbia to Arsenal for 14 and 17.5 million, Emre to Bolton for 8 mil.

Just bought Breno and this brazilian youngster Alex from Vasco but finding proven talent a bit hard to come by. Tried to sign Barzagli from a relegated Palermo but he decided against Newcastle, opting for Seville even though my contract was 30k a week more than what he's earning at Seville now. Tried to get Rosina from Torino, but he decided to go to Roma (and less money!!!) I'm frustrated for sure as most players wouldn't think twice about moving to the toon. I'm in particular need of wingers and a good AMC

on the bright side, apparently Daniel Alves would be interested in a move to Newcastle for some reason so I may just break the bank to sign him

its true, they've been perennial under-achievers irl, and it doesn't help that the fans are always having delusions of grandeur.
