Default scouting where your scouts were born?

was it once decided that it would be alright to send a, say, australian scout to australia, a chinese scout to china etc even if you can't tour those places?

i have had to start a new game on cm 01/02 because cm4 is so unbelievably shÃ*t and i have an australian scout who wouldn't mind joining, but i was going to wait and see what you lot had to say before signing him. seeing as though "i'm having to ask" and it's only 10 games into the first season i am swaying towards thinking it may be against llama ethics but you lot, especially the zealots have the final word.

discuss.

Seems feasible, in that he'd probably go home now and again.

But would a crappy LL club pay the airfare for him? Or would it be like a working holiday...not really sure.

Thinking about it, I'd love to see a full breakdown in your 'Accounts' screen of scouting costs for a future CM version. Then the board could limit what scouting you do. Probably too much to ask though.

that would be a good idea robbo, although we know now that cm is going backwards and therefore it's highly unlikely that anything half decent will be added.

rekwob toilet - fine :p

i think seeing as though i am £1,800,000 in debt already i will leave it. it would be interesting to see what iaj has to say though.

Ah, well you didn't mention that in the first place....I'd allow a bit of scouting down the local park if you're lucky.

Discussions in the LLaMa Elite Meetings () have decreed that Nations with historic links with Countries, Portugal/Brazil, Germany/Turkey, etc., may scout these Countries, but only with scouts of that Country's Nationality and only scouting that Country.

i.e. A Brazilian Scout, scouting for a Portuguese Club, may only scout Brazil. As if he was home-based.

Guidline, not rule, and mainly for Zealots

Essentially, we say if it feels right, then it probably is.

It goes alongside the adage "if you have to ask if your cheating, you probably are".

Averell. Guidlines are just that. Guidance. CM_MaTT asked a question, I answered it by telling him about a discussion that was had at the "highest level".()

Agents are all over the shop IRL, but not in CM. An Indian player's agent can't tell you about a guy playing in New Delhi because he isn't in the game. Now if you think that sending a scout to Asia is the CM version of speaking to an agent, then you do that. It's your game.

Ask me what I do and I'll tell you. That doesn't mean it's written in stone, it's the way I play the game, it's the way the majority of the guys who care about the LLM way play the game.

Well that gives us Brits the right to scout over 2/3rds of the worlds surface, Australia, NZ, America, Canada, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Half of Africa, Bits of South America, France, China, Most of the middle East, etc.
