I just bought game a week ago. I am playing in 3rd division in England. I have cleared out some players and brought up some youngsters and am currently in 4th position in the table. Now I'm not sure whether I should push for promotion or slack off a bit and stick in 3rd division in hopes of building up my finances? Will I make enough extra money in division 2 to offset higher salaries? What about stadium issues, my current stadium only hold 9452?
Anyway, I am really worried if I go up to division 2 that I will have problems drawing crowds, if I'm not top of the table, and salaries will balloon on me. I appreciate the advice in advance.

Let me put this as gently as possible. Always, always, always go for promotion. It's the ultimate aim of all LLM Managers to get promotion. If you get relegated next year at least you've given it a try.
Promotion. Go for it.

May be your trait, but what's your aim? |

Finished up runner up and got promoted . My team is a bit overmatched now though, but guess I'll have to find a way to overcome it .

I am managing York. I'm beginning to think promotion may have been a bad move, either that or I've suddenly become the world's most stupid manager. My team just isn't on level with the competion and attendances are dropping as I stay firmly lodged in the bottom of the division. I have 4 physios, all with good stats, but my team is devasted with injuries and training injuries, even with physios assigned to every training schedule . The computer seems to have cracked my tactics no matter what i change them to, in some cases I know it's the better quality of players they have, but still, getting frustrated with it. Think I'll just have to realize I'm going back to division 3 and try to regroup there .

I have always found Division 2 a much bigger step up than Division 3, although if you can stay there the mony is much better too. I would try to aim for 50 points or so, that should guarantee division 2 status

I'll aim for 50 points, but right now I'm just aiming get any points. The majority of my games so far have been away, but still, just looking very hard( as long as it's not impossible that's a good thing ).
