Your knowledge of players is limited. That's why you have scouts, it's why you have "fog of war" on. It's why your reputation is crap. If your scout recommends a player to you, you are likely to try and sign him.
How is that such a difficult concept to grab?
Also, don't forget that some of the lesser known players in the game (i.e. those that we are likely to come into contact with) generate with different abilities and potentials each time. Just because they were poo before doesn't mean they will be this time around.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
