Thanks for the help a2000, but I did get most of my pics from that site and those four clubs are all too small to fit into the game.

Nobby do you have a utility such as winzip or winrar?

You use these to make a zip file. Download and install one of them and right click on the folder the pics are in. these should be a new option saying Winrar or winzip (which ever one you have installed. go down to Winzip or win rar on the pop up menu, wait and a new menu should pop up and one will say either Add to zip or Add to archive. Left click that.

another box should popup, winzip or winrar etc, click ok and it should start zipping it. Once finished a new file will be made, thisis the zip folder. You should find it in the same directory as the pictures folder, and if not, double click the folder where the pictures are, as it may have been placed in there.

Cut and paste the zip folder to your desktop and then upload it to some webspace. If you have none free email the zip folder to me and i will upload it.

Right... I've come across a bit of a problem...

I've finished gathering and correctly formatting pictures for Nobby's Ground Pics version 1. There is 658 pics (including those that come with CM3 00/01) and the folder size stands at 602MB. I've checked on my game and they all seem to work fine.
I've zipped the pics folder.
There lies the problem. The zipped file size is a whopping 171MB. Far too big for my to upload on my webspace and too e-mail.
Any solutions? Should I zip all the pics too or just the folder?

It may be best to zip it up, to around 4 or 5 parts. then pray that someone will offer to host one part, you another, someone else another.....

I would be happy to host a part of the pics. As for Kazaa, be very warey, far too many viruses about.

It doesn;t matter iirc if you zip it from just the folder or selecting all the pics and zipping.

Good idea Craig. I like it. I'll get on the case tomorrow morning as I'm going out shortly.

Kazaa was never a go... I don't want viruses in the system and you confirmed my doubts with that place.

Right, what is a fantastic idea in theory, is turning out to be a total pain in the arse.

I've separated and zipped all the numbered 00/01 pics into four folders ranging in size from 29.1 to 35.4MB (zipped).
I've grouped the pics I have gathered together along with the named 00/01 pics. They are
A-E 82 pics, 14.5MB
F-L 64 pics, 8.23MB
M-R 51 pics, 7.29MB
S-Y 63 pics, 12MB.
And the pics.cfg that is 16KB zipped.

Which brings me onto the big problem I have.
One, I would have to create another six free websites to host them, or arrange for other people to host them. This can be fairly easily overcome however.
The big problem is still the sheer size of the files. I only have a dial up modem, so the length of time it would take for me to upload them would be huge. I'm currently trying to upload the S-Y file onto my old The 11 O'Clock Show website. It's been going for nearly an hour now and there's no sign of it finishing.

I may just have to wait until we (ie family) get Broadband. By which time a llm playable version of CM4 may have been released!

I've tried... hours of donkey work but it seems that fellow LLaMas won't be able to share my catalogue of pictures, which currently stands at 658.

Unless anybody can think of a way of doing it..?
