Exactly. If anything, the CM3 engine was probably LESS realistic (i.e. more random approximations, and not down to the individual passes), and after comparing the CM4 2D to its text commentary I feel I've probably been just fooling myself all these years thinking I knew what my tactics are doing in CM3. Imagination is a powerful thing, but it's also easy to kid yourself.
The man/zonal marking issue is known and being adjusted - so it's one part of the tactics that isn't working that well yet, but I have the feeling most other instructions have rather plausible impacts on the pitch. I'm sure they'll get the marking right eventually (it's also supposedly depending on the skills of the defenders, and in LLM we tend to use crap defenders).
