Managing A League Team and International Team at the Same Time Is it realistic?
Fortunately for me, my two teams are based within the same island nation.
For me to be Wales and an English League club is borderline realistic, as many times in the recent past the prospect of a part time manager has looked likely for us.
It's also about enjoyment - yes we want to play realistically, but to just be an international manager is incredibly dull - you get maybe 10 games a year if you don't qualify for one of the major championships.

Never really thought of it like that, plenty of people have managed countries miles away from the country they manage in, yet nothing has ever been said really.
Looking back, I may have been a bit unrealistic managing Oswestry Town and Brazil.

I quit after one game anyway, all the player names were too long and I couldn't remember who was who.

I have no problems managing a league club and an international side. It has been done before in real life, but not with much success, I think.
Anyway, I usually pick one or the other. In one of my LLM games that I made an update thread for, I was the manager of both an Australian team and Columbia. I eventually stuck with the Columbian team, quitting (or getting sacked, I can't remmber which) from my league job.

In the same way, Brazil, Germany, Italy, France etc, are never going to appoint a manager of a different nationality, its just not going to happen. But they will later on in CM. So thats unrealistic.

Surely not too long ago this list would have included England, what makes you think something like this won't happen in France, Germany or Brazil?

You surely can't have imagined one of the high performing Scottish managers tarnishing their reputation with what is, by historical standards, a very mediocre Scottish national team.

Or me, managing Newport County and Argentina. In my defence, I applied for Argentina because they qualified for the World Cup, being held in France. In my prosecution, I managed them before when I was boss at Billericay!
