Not sure if this is posted in the right place but anyway is it possible to ask the board for a better scouting system ? like when they say they will only let you scout say local continents to england, can you ask for a better scouting system ?

Im Leicester atm and doing really well in the Championship but can only scout scandinavia, uk and ireland and the normal rubbish

no, but when you are at a higher level then youre scouting ability will rise

I think there might be advantages if you get affiliated clubs with overseas links - but I've never been sure how it helps exactly.

it provides knowledge of the regions they are involved in, and their own area for your club. It basically makes the player search function add more unknown players, and players who might be interested in playing for you.

There's nothing wrong with being able to scout Scandinavia

The players tend to be cheap and Scandinavian countries (at least in fm 06/07 were breeding grounds for wonderkids). Plus they don't need work permits.

Remember players from these countries (if you're playing as a UK team) don't need work permits:

Austria
Belgium
Cyprus
Czech Republic
Denmark
Estonia
Finland
France
Including French Guyana
Guadeloupe
Martinique
Reunion
Germany
Greece
Holland
Hungary
Iceland
Ireland
Italy

I have a sneaky feeling Reunion would never manage to produce players capable of winning the champions league
